If playing the greens of the legendary Old Course at St. Andrews is on your golfing “bucket list,” here’s your chance to check this experience off as you check into the golf excursion of a lifetime.  Members of all BlueStar Resort & Golf Managed properties are invited to travel to Scotland in August 2015 to take part in the Old Course Experience at St. Andrews.  This will be the fourth annual Trilogy trip to St. Andrews, co-sponsored by BlueStar Resort & Golf.  (Click here to view photos and a recap of the second annual trip.  Photos from the third annual trip will be posted next month!)

St. Andrews is the “Home of Golf,” where the game has been nurtured and developed for over 600 years. Every year, thousands of golfers make the pilgrimage from all corners of the globe with the hope of playing the legendary Old Course, and yet many are disappointed, as the daily ballot for tee times is always hugely over-subscribed. Through the Trilogy Old Course Experience trip, Trilogy members will be able to travel to St Andrews, safe in the knowledge that their Old Course tee-time is already secured and guaranteed, and that they will be able to play with their golf buddies on the most famous course of all time.  In addition to the Old Course, this trip will include rounds on the New Course, as well as the Castle, Kingsbarns, and Carnoustie Championship Courses in St. Andrews.

You and your fellow members will spend six nights at the five-star Old Course Hotel.  During your stay, you’ll have plenty of time to sightsee, tour castles and palaces, visit St. Andrews Cathedral, peruse the British Golf Museum, and get a taste of local life in the pubs and shops.  Or, if you’d prefer to squeeze in as much world-class golf as possible in your five-day stay, that can also be arranged.

You’ll start each day with a full Scottish breakfast at your hotel, and you’ll enjoy lunch most afternoons at one of the golf club restaurants.  A three-course dinner one evening in your hotel is also included in the price of the trip, as are daily round-trip transfers between the hotel and the golf courses, a visit to the British Golf Museum, full use of the respective courses’ Clubhouses, a souvenir group photograph taken on the first tee of the Old Course, and a generous range of official, souvenir merchandise.  A dedicated Old Course Experience representative will be available throughout your stay, ensuring that every step of your trip goes smoothly.

Many of the exciting details of the 2015 Trilogy Old Course Experience Trip are outlined in the itinerary below.  As the course diaries do not open until the end of October 2014, the exact golfing schedule and tee times will not be confirmed until this stage.  Welcome home, golfers!

Please note that airfare is not included in this travel package; members are responsible for booking their own flights to Scotland.  Guests are welcome to take part in this trip if they are accompanying a Trilogy (or BSRG-managed property) member.  Prices shown are per golfer, in Pounds sterling, inclusive of all UK taxes and based upon a party of twelve golfers.

Please also note that it is a mandatory requirement that all golfers who play the Old Course are in possession of a valid handicap showing a handicap of 24 or less for Men and 36 or less for Ladies.

All members and guests interested in taking part in the 2015 Trilogy Trip to St. Andrews must confirm their spots by July 25, 2015.  A 40% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is then due within 14 days, with the balance due 12 weeks prior to arrival. Payment can be made by credit card (for which there is a 2% supplement) or by wire transfer, for which there is no supplement. Price is based upon a minimum of 12 golfers taking part in this trip. Should there be less than 12, we reserve the right to amend the price as may be required.

While it may be difficult for some to commit to a trip so far in advance, the 2015 tee times at the Old Course and other championship courses in St. Andrews are already nearly full since the 2015 Open Championship is being held at the Old Course.  We’re offering this opportunity to our members now so that we can guarantee your tee times at each of these spectacular courses.

This trip is co-sponsored by BlueStar Resort & Golf and has been organized by Kevin Zellmer, Director of Resort Operations for Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, in conjunction with the Old Course Experience (www.oldcourse-experience.com).
