Las Vegas may be known for its casinos and nightlife, but for member Martha Puzio, Shea Homes at Ardiente is where the real fun happens! Located in North Las Vegas this gated community offers resort-style living within the tranquility of the mountains and desert.

At the heart of this vibrant 55+ community is the Ardiente Club, a 20,000 square-foot contemporary, Spanish-style club where Martha finds herself spending a lot of time at its expansive state-of-the-art fitness center, resort pool and spa, community business center, multipurpose party room, game room, billiards and more.

“We have excellent amenities at Ardiente. Our Club is in really good shape. It’s got all kinds of books to rent, TV’s available, pool tables, and our Fiesta Room, which we use for most of our big events,” said Martha.

Within Ardiente Club, residents enjoy a large fitness center complete with state-of-the-art cardio and weight training equipment, locker rooms, as well as an aerobics studio, where they hold a variety of athletic classes. Martha is personally a fan of the Aquacize class, which is an hour workout in the pool to music.

On-site, Shea Homes at Ardiente has two pools available:

  • Ardiente’s outdoor pool and spa was designed for fun and pleasure, with space for active exercise, luxurious relaxation and therapeutic swimming. It also has an adjoining spa for residents and their guests to soak their aching muscles when needed.
  • The resort pool is appointed with elegant, comfortable outdoor chaises, so residents can lounge the day away near the water. Ardiente also a covered barbecue area perfect for having friends over to enjoy the desert landscape.

“By the pool, we have barbecues that are available to everyone at any time. You can jump in the pool, bring your friends, have a BBQ and sit outside. It’s really nice,” Martha added.Shea Homes at Ardiente Outdoor Amenities

After spending the day outside by the pool, Martha enjoys reconvening with friends at the Ardiente Club for one of the many activities offered, including line dancing and pickle ball.

“We have a very active group of people that play all different types of card games,” said Martha. “I’m a trivia queen, and sometimes we have trivia games where you can win prizes. It’s a really fun social hour.”

As a part of their social activities, Ardiente regularly hosts resident mixers to celebrate members’ anniversaries and birthdays each month, as well as to meet any new members. It’s this feeling of kinship that makes Ardiente second to none for Martha. “We’re a tight-knit community at Ardiente. Because we’re a smaller community, you feel closer to people. You actually know your neighbors, and know that they are looking out for you,” said Martha. “You get a sense of family at Ardiente. People watch out for people. That’s a huge plus.”

Homes at Ardiente are also SheaXero No Electric Bill Homes. Ardiente resident, Paul Oldale, will tell not paying an electric bill has changed his life. Read his story to find out what else is amazing about Ardiente’s Resort Community.
